In an objective lens driving device for driving an objective lens (1) in three directions, the direction of the optical axis, a direction at right angles with the optical axis, and an inclined direction radially of an optical disk, in order to obtain satisfactory recording and reproducing characteristics in a densified optical disk, an objective lens driving device is realized that is capable of improving operating sensitivity and obtaining stabilized operating characteristics. Of six fixing sections (7a-7f) supporting six support members (6a-6f) supporting a movable section (5), two fixing sections (7b, 7e) are made lower in rigidity than the other four fixing sections (7a, 7c, 7d, 7f), whereby it is possible to improve dynamic sensitivity of the movable section (5) and stabilize the operation of the movable section (5).
