The invention relates to a tool, in particular to a boring bar which is rotatable around the axis (15) thereof and provided at least with one adjustable cutting edge (22). The inventive tool comprises a main body (14), at least one groove (16) for the cutting-edge (22) embodied in the main body (14) outside the tool axis (15). A setting element (44) in the form of a eccentric cylinder is pivotally arranged in a pivoting bearing (52) of the central part (28) of the main body (14) and comprises at least one part (50) of the bearing and an eccentric part (48). The grooves (16) for the adjustable cutting-edge are embodied in the adjusting part (26) of the main body (14) in which at least one supporting element (54) is disposed in such a way that it can be put against the end of the eccentric part (48) perpendicularly to the tool axis (15). Said supporting element (54) is embodied in the form of a support screw and makes it possible to control a basic stress between the adjusting part (26) and the setting element (44) during the pre-adjustment. The radius can be set by pivoting the eccentric cylinder (44).
