<p>Compounding for the continuous preparation of a polymer composition comprising at least a polymer and a particulate solid substance dispersed in the polymer, comprises feeding the particulate solid substance to melt-mixing apparatus under reduced pressure, relative to the atmospheric pressure, the reduced pressure being attained during at least a part of the melt-mixing. Compounding for the continuous preparation of a polymer composition comprising at least a polymer and a particulate solid substance dispersed in the polymer, comprises separate dosing of the polymer and the particulate solid substance to a melt-mixing apparatus and melt-mixing the polymer and the particulate solid substance in the apparatus. The particulate solid substance is fed to melt-mixing apparatus under reduced pressure, relative to the atmospheric pressure, the reduced pressure being attained during at least a part of the melt-mixing. Independent claims are also included for: (1) equipment for carrying out the inventive process; and (2) process for shaping a melt from a compounding process.</p> |
