The invention relates to a device (10) for driving an output mechanism (46), comprising a rotationally driveable input shaft (14). Means are located between said input shaft (14) and the output mechanism (46) for transmitting a drive torque of the input shaft (14) to the output mechanism (46). The invention provides that a non-positive functional connection can be created between a first means (16) and the output mechanism (46), enabling an alternating movement of said first means (16) to be converted into a movement of the output mechanism (46).
