<p>A mobile communication terminal has a camera unit (34) and a main CPU. The camera unit (34) has a processing system including a color conversion circuit (66) and an image compression circuit (68) for generating compressed still image data of high resolution according to the interpolation image data on an object imaged. Moreover, a processing system including an image decompression circuit (74), a color conversion circuit (72), and a thinning circuit (70) generates decompressed still image data of low resolution according to the compressed still image data of high resolution. When a release key is operated, the main CPU starts the image compression circuit (68). When generation of the compressed still image data is completed, the main CPU starts the image decompression circuit (74). The decompressed data of low resolution generated by starting the image decompression circuit (74) is acquired from the camera unit (34) by the main CPU and written into a VRAM. As a result, the decompressed image is displayed on an LCD.</p> |
