Zip fastener production material (I) comprising (A) 78-82 wt% starch, (B) 8-12 wt% natural polymer and (C) 8-12 wt% organic polymer. Independent claims are also included for (1) a method for the production of a zip fastener from (I) by heating and mixing the materials for (I) to the required viscosity and then forming a zip fastener with teeth (2) and tape (1) by an integrated injection moulding process with the incorporation of paper fibres (2) a zip fastener made from (I) by this method, with a part (20) which is on the inside projecting above and below, a first channel (21) in the middle of (20) which extends to the outside and is connected to a second channel (110), a zip fastener tape (1) which is attached to (20) on a side opposite to the inside and to the second channel (110), and paper fibres in both channels (21, 110), the teeth (2) and the tape (1) with teeth being bonded by injection moulding with the incorporation of paper fibres (10)
