The transmitter ahs a nonlinear power amplifier (PA) with a voltage supply terminal (3). A voltage source (4) produces a low-frequency signal (AM-BBS) connected to the voltage supply terminal. The input to a modulator is connected to the voltage source and to the power amplifier. The modulator output (RFI/O) provides the amplitude-modulated signal. An Independent claim is included for a method of generating a amplitude-modulated signal.
