Cylinder arrangement for electro-graphical printers has a cylinder support body (1) with accommodating forward ends (4, 7) for supporting a cylinder housing (6). On the outer surface of the cylinder (6) is an operating layer (16) such as a photoelectrical layer. The cylinder arrangement has devices for pre-positioning of the cylinder housing (6) when it requires exchanging. Independent claims are made for a printer mechanism and printer using the above cylinder exchange mechanism.
