The cutting and bearing mounting assembly for a food mincer, and the like, is in the form of an adaptor (1) between the impeller screw housing (3) and the housing section (4) to accommodate the cutter set (19). It acts as a bearing for the twin screws with a counter rotation, and also caries the twin cutting sections. The adaptor is formed with an initial cutter, a bearing point and a feed trough. The material is moved forward by the screws and forced through two perforated plates (6,8) each with cutting blades (5,7) e.g. as minced or ground foodstuff.
