The system for the feed of gas in a gas-water heater has a valve arrangement with a first magnetic valve (17) for an ignition gas volume, and a second magnetic valve (19) for an operating gas volume. The first magnetic valve is piloted into the open position by the line (21) to the ignition and the second magnetic valve by the flame monitoring responses (22). The operating of the first magnetic valve may be tripped by the triggering of the second magnetic valve.
