To bond together two materials, of same or different materials, a thin wood veneer (14) is laid on a flat metal (12) support to form a compound material (10). An adhesive (16) layer on the veneer is used to bond them together. The adhesive can be fusible and synthetic, skin and leather glue, animal glue, bone glue, casein or vegetable glue.
