An ice auger includes a drive member, an upright bar, and a saw barrel. T he drive member is coupled with a top end of the bar, and a bottom of the bar i s coupled with a top center of the saw barrel, which is circular mug-shaped wi th a downward opening. The saw barrel has pores at its top aide, saw blades on its bottom fringe, and a chipping-ejecting blade upward spirally extended fr om an outer sharp edge of each said saw blade along its outer periphery. Whereb y, the ice auger of a preferably simplified structure is provided.
