A broadhead includes a ferrule for mounting an arrowshaft, the ferrule havin g a locking portion. At least two blades are mounted on the ferrule (three are used in the preferred embodiment), the blades being coupled to the ferrule i n their center portions by notches that mate with the locking portion of the ferrule. A locking nut is mounted on a rear portion of the ferrule for holdi ng the three blades in place on the ferrule when the locking nut is tightened.< /SDOAB>
