A panel carrier comprising a roller array (52) of a plurality of free rollers (61) arranged in one row, an endless belt (75) disposed at an upper level of the roller array (52) while having a carrying plane (78) extending in the longitudinal direction of the roller array (52), and a motor (77) for driving the belt (75). The edge parts of panels PL and PR are received by the upper end of the roller array (52) while the side faces of the panels PL and PR are received by the belt carrying plane (78). Under that state, a thrust is imparted to the panels PL and PR by the belt (75) being driven.
