Mainboard having a selective connection COM/VGA jack layout

A mainboard is disclosed having an area 6 with a jack layout to enable the area 6 to connect either to a COM jack terminal 63 or to a VGA jack terminal 64. The area 6 consists of two sets of juxtaposed jack layouts 61 for connection of a COM jack terminal 63 and 62 for connection of a VGA jack terminal 64. There may be provided a set of grounding connection contacts 65, 66 connecting to each jack terminal 63, 64. When the area 6 is connected to a VGA jack terminal 64 the COM port layout 61 may be coupled via a serial port flat cable to a separate COM port jack.
