摘要 PURPOSE: A substrate glass composition for a plasma image display panel is provided, which has lower liquid temperature than molding temperature, high viscosity at a liquid temperature, high deformation point, and low expansibility. CONSTITUTION: The substrate glass composition comprises 53.0-63.0wt% of SiO2, 5.0-10.0wt% of Al2O3, 3.0-7.0wt% of Na2O, 4.0-8.0wt% of K2O, 4.1-8.0wt% of MgO, 4.0-8.0wt% of CaO, 7.0-16.0wt% of BaO, less than 1.9wt% of SrO, 0.5-6.0wt% of ZrO2, less than 1wt% of SO3, less than 1wt% of Sb2O3, and less than 1wt% of P2O5, wherein the total content of Na2O and K2O is 8.0-14.0wt%, the total content of MgO, CaO, BaO, and SrO is 18.0-25.0wt%, and the total content of SO3 and Sb2O3 is 0.2-1.0wt%. The substrate glass composition has a deformation point of more than 580deg.C, a transition point of more than 610deg.C, a thermal expansion coefficient of 80-90x10¬-7/deg.C at 30-350deg.C, a molding temperature(correspondent to 10000poise) of less than 1200deg.C, and viscosity of more than 20000 poise at a liquid temperature.
