PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make cleaning auxiliary means such as a rotating brush which is provided on a suction utensil for floor operate without depending on a power supply from the vacuum cleaner body. SOLUTION: In the suction utensil 5 for floor, a battery 6 and a charge receiving coil 52 which is connected to the battery 6 are arranged. In this case, the battery 6 supplies power to an electric motor which drives the cleaning auxiliary means such as the rotating brush. In a charging base 2 on which the suction utensil 5 for floor is mounted, a charging coil 24 is arranged in a manner to be confronted with the charge receiving coil 52. Then, the charging coil 24 is connected to a charger in the charging base 2. An electric current is made to flow from the charger to the charging coil 24, and an induced current which is generated on the charge receiving coil 52 by an electromagnetic induction occurring at this time is made to flow to the battery 6. Then, the battery 6 is charged in a non-contact state.
