PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for driving the same are provided to improve the characteristics of products by overall display the uniform screen. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of gate lines(G1 - Gn), a thin film transistor and a sustain capacitor(Cst). The plurality of gate lines receives the scan signal. The thin film transistor is connected to a plurality of data line applied thereto the data signal. The sustain capacitor maintains the data signal applied through the thin film transistor during a predetermined time. The sustain capacitor is connected between the thin film transistor and the previous gate line. And, the 0th gate line is connected to the nth gate line.
