A dipole aerial with the two adjacent ends 5, 6 of its component members secured to an insulating junction box 7 is coupled to a coaxial cable 9 by a balancing element 10 mounted directly on the interior surface of a wall of the box and connected between the adjacent ends of the dipole members, the inner conductor of the cable 9 being connected to the end 6 of one dipole member and the outer conductor of the cable 9 being connected to a centre tap on the balancing element 10 by a wire passing through a hole in an insulating plate 11 covering the element 10 and connected to a conductive clip 8 securing the cable 9. The dipole may comprise the active element of a Yaki aerial, Fig. 1 (not shown). |
