PURPOSE: Provided are a pumpkin containing germanium and a method for manufacturing a food using the same. The pumpkin contains a large amount of germanium which has no toxicity to the human body and high absorption, and thus has antioxidation effect, improves functions of the heart and lung, decomposes waste material, has prevention effects on cancer and hepatocirrhosis, and increases immunity. CONSTITUTION: A pumpkin containing germanium is characteristically cultivated by supplying water or fertilizer which has germanium ions. A food, such as powdery pumpkin gruel, is manufactured by drying the pumpkin containing germanium. And a food, such as a pumpkin drink, is manufactured by double-boiling the pumpkin containing germanium.
