PURPOSE: Rear structure of a manual transmission for a vehicle without lubrication is provided to prevent sticking and excessive wear of the propeller shaft, the bush or the oil seal, and to cut down manufacturing cost by assembling parts easily with reducing the number of parts. CONSTITUTION: A transmission output shaft(2) is spline-combined with a propeller shaft(3) in an extension housing(1) of a rear part of a manual transmission. The transmission output shaft is supported by a sealing double row bearing(4'). Oil rings are arranged in the inner periphery and the outer periphery of the sealing double row bearing, and an empty space(11) is formed between the propeller shaft and the inner periphery of the extension housing. Oil from the transmission is restricted from flowing into the rear part of the transmission combined with the output shaft and the propeller shaft. |
