PURPOSE: A driving circuit of a PDP(Plasma Display Panel) and a driving method thereof are provided to simplify a structure of the PDP driving circuit and reduce a manufacturing cost by turning on or off a field effect transistor of a scan drive IC to control a discharging path. CONSTITUTION: A PDP driving circuit includes a scan drive IC(12), a sus-up portion(12), and a sustain portion(11). The scan drive IC is used for scanning a PDP by using an upper transistor and a lower transistor to receive input image data to each line. The sus-up portion supplies the power to the scan drive IC. The sustain portion inputs pulse waveform to the PDP. The PDP driving circuit portion further includes an on/off signal generation portion(14) generates and outputs an on/off signal to control an on/off state a lower transistor of the scan drive IC and controls a discharging path thereby.
