PURPOSE: Provided are a fuel cell and a fuel cell generating device which uses a fuel having a high volume energy density, is free from an auxiliary device for supplying fuel and an oxidizing gas and can be miniaturized. CONSTITUTION: The fuel cell comprises a plurality of generation parts having an anode(3) oxidizing a liquid fuel, a cathode(4) reducing oxygen and an electrolyte membrane(2) formed between the anode and the cathode, at the wall face of a support member holding and supporting a liquid fuel, wherein an anode generation plate(6) and a cathode generation plate(7) are arranged at the anode side and the cathode side, respectively, and the anode generation plate and the cathode generation plate arranged in generation part adjacent to the plurality of generation parts are electrically connected. Preferably the anode generation plate and the cathode generation plate are coated with a conductive carbon paint.
