PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire is provided to improve the performance of the tire by optimizing the contacting force of the outer tread of the tire with increasing the width of the outer shoulder block of the tread more than the width of the inner shoulder block in the asymmetrical pneumatic tire. CONSTITUTION: A tread of an asymmetrical pneumatic tire is composed of a tread central line(3), tread center parts(4,4') formed at both sides of the tread central line, the shoulder block width of an inside(1) of the tread, and the shoulder block width of an outside(2) of the tread. If the width of the shoulder block of the tread inside is 100 % based on the tread central line, the width of the shoulder block of the tread outside is 109 - 120 %. The shoulder block width of the tread outside is increased more than the shoulder block width of the tread inside because the tread of the outside is larger than the tread of the inside. Thus, performance of the tire is improved with supporting load to the vehicle with the optimal tread.
