The plates integrating the cell structure in a portion in the active zone of the radioactive component are of a material formed from neutronic poisons, such as boron treated steels. The end zones of the rack corresponding to the non-active portion of the radioactive component are formed by a pair of lattice sets (1-2,10-11). The non-active portions are welded to a stainless steel cover.
