PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability while shortening the axial length of a stator supporting device. SOLUTION: The supporting device for supporting a stator 200 of a torque converter includes an OWC end bearing 600 that holds the clearance between an OWC outer race 300 arranged on the inner circumference of the stator 200 and an OWC inner race 700 arranged on the outer circumference of a transmission fixing axis 130, a thrust bearing race 500 that is arranged adjacent to an end face of the OWC outer race 300 and restricts the movement of the OWC end bearing 600 toward the transmission fixing axis 130, and a thrust bearing 400 that is arranged on a transfer face of the thrust bearing race 500 and supports the load applied to the OWC outer race 300.
