PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate handling of staples and to simplify packing. SOLUTION: The staples S are stored in a staple housing 1 shaped and sized to be directly charged in a staple cartridge. The staple housing which is a blow-molded product of a polypropylene sheet or the like, is provided with cushioning parts 5, 6, 7, 8 formed in rectangular shape as a whole, at both lateral end parts, and accommodated in a packing case of internal shape almost equal to the outline dimensions of the staple cartridge to dispense with packing. Since the staple housing can be directly charged in the staple cartridge without taking the staples out of the staple housing, staple replenishing work is simplified. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
