<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the additive concentration of a corrosion inhibitor. <P>SOLUTION: This corrosion inhibition of an iron-based metal is managed under a condition where the corrosion rate y (mdd) of water derived from the equation is 20 or less. In this method, after the condition where the corrosion rate y (mdd) of water derived from the equation shown in the figure is 20 or less is established, an anticorrosive is added to control the actually measured corrosion rate to be 10 or less. In the above equation, x represents stability index, y is corrosion rate (mdd), T is temperature (°C), and [SiO<SB>2</SB>] represents silica concentration (mgSiO<SB>2</SB>/l). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
