PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone system in which an image/sound recording operation is made possible even on the side of a sub master unit and the convenience is improved. SOLUTION: A sub master unit 12 is capable of instructing recording of video of a visitor which is shot by a TV camera of an intercom slave set 2 and reproducing of the recorded image to a master unit 1 via a transmission line 13. Further, the sub master unit is capable of reproducing the reproduced video signal sent through the transmission line 13 and displaying the video signal on its own monitor device 63.
