PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means ready for a variety of models and types of existing marine diesel engines which can take a sufficiently effective fire preventive countermeasure with a very simple configuration at a very low cost. SOLUTION: A fuel oil pipe 25 group from fuel injection pumps 22 of a marine diesel engine 20 to fuel injection valves of a plurality of cylinder parts 24 is covered by a fuel oil pipe cover 1 formed of a fire-proof and oil-resistant sheet with a glass cloth as a base material. The cover 1 comprises a main cover portion 1A to cover both face and back sides of the entire oil pipe 25 group of an area Z1 to be developed in plane from the assembly condition on the fuel injection pumps 22 side to corresponding cylinder parts 24 side, a sub cover part 1B to cover the entire oil pipe 25 group peripherally in an assembly area Z2 on the fuel injection pumps 22 side, and a pipe-by-pipe cover portion 1C to individually surround each fuel oil pipe 25 in a separation area Z3 from the plane-developed area Z to the corresponding cylinder part 24.
