PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve conveyance stability when discharging a paper sheet in a device of the type constituted by one paper delivery roller. SOLUTION: A paper delivery tray is rotatably attached on the downstream side of the paper delivery roller centered on axial direction of the paper delivery roller, a driven gear receiving a rotary driving force is integrally formed on the same axis as the center of rotation of the paper delivery tray, and a torsion coil spring is arranged on a shaft of the paper delivery roller. A driving gear rotating integrally with the torsion coil spring is connected with the outer periphery of the spring and is meshed with the driven gear of the paper delivery tray to transmit a rotary force of the paper delivery roller shaft to the paper delivery tray by a friction force of the torsion coil spring and the paper delivery roller shaft. A position of the paper delivery tray is switched by direction of rotation of the paper delivery roller shaft, and the torsion coil spring and the paper delivery roller shaft slide by the fixed friction force by butting a part of the paper delivery tray on a platen for positioning. Moreover, the friction force by the torsion coil spring serves also as load function for conveyance stability of the paper delivery roller to suppress the number of parts to the minimum extent.
