PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage case which can house a digital versatile disc (DVD), a compact disc (CD) and the like, and can keep a lid-closed state locked in a state wherein a security tag is held. SOLUTION: In this storage case 11 for an information recording medium, a main body part 12, wherein the information recording medium is to be housed, and the lid body 14 are formed so as to freely coalesce into one body via a hinge part 13; a holder 15 is provided so as to be fitted into an end facing the side of the hinge part 13 after the coalescence of the body part 12 and the lid body 14; engaging recesses 27 are formed in the body part 12 and the lid body 14, which are made to coalesce into one body; the holder 15 is provided with a locking mechanism 32 which is to be protruded in the engaging recess 27; and maintaining means for maintaining a fitting state are provided in the body part 12, the lid body 14 and the holder 15.
