PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat many numbers of cigarette butts mechanically by one time. SOLUTION: This separating apparatus is provided by dropping down a cigarette butt from a hopper part 2 into a separating chamber 7 in a separating device main body 1, rotating a rotary disc 14 and separating the cigarette into the ash, leaves and filter components with projections 16, 16 of it. The ash and leaves are dropped down from a gap S of the circumferential surface of the rotary disc 14 and the inside surface of a sidewall 7b of the separating chamber 7, blown away to a passage 12 with blowing blades 17, 17, and stored in an ash and leaves-housing chamber 18 after passing through the passage 12. On the completion of the above, a shutter 10 is opened, the filters are pushed out from the discharging port 9 of the filters by a centrifugal force, and then they are sent through a passage 13 to a filter-housing chamber 22 for storing.
