FLAME RETARDANT STYRENE RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: Provided is a flame retardant styrene resin composition with improved flame retardancy, particularly flame drip property during burning, rigidity, impact resistance and formability. CONSTITUTION: The flame retardant styrene resin composition comprises: (a) 100 pts.wt. of a styrene resin comprising (i) 85-99 pts.wt. of a rubber-modified styrene copolymer which contains at most 2 wt% of a methyl alcohol-soluble portion and (ii) 1-15 pts.wt. of a polyphenylene ether resin; (b) 1-15 pts.wt. of a block copolymer made of styrene-based and olefin-based elastomer; and (c) 4-30 pts.wt. of a phosphate ester as a flame retardant.
