<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe which is readily designed and with which a plurality of base polymorphisms are accurately detected under the same condition and a method for detecting the base polymorphisms using the probe. <P>SOLUTION: The probe for base polymorphisms comprises at least one oligonucleotide for a detection probe, having a nucleic acid sequence complementary to a wild-type or variant-type nucleic acid sequence of base polymorphism to be a target in a specimen nucleic acid, at least one oligonucleotide for a target binding probe, which is hybridized with any region of a 3 nucleic acid residue to a 100 nucleic acid residue at the 5' side or 3' side of the base polymorphism to be the target in the specimen nucleic acid and a spacer existing between the oligonucleotide for the detection probe and the oligonucleotide for the target binding probe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
