<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for isolating or making neural stem cells, neural precursor cells or the like significantly high in differentiative induction tendency compared to a conventional method for the separatory culture of a group of cells isolated from the surrounding of the tricorn, and to provide the neural stem cells, neural precursor cells or the like obtained by this method. <P>SOLUTION: The neural precursor cells, neural precursor cells, neurocytes, astrocyte precursor cells, astrocytes, oligodendrocyte precursor cells, oligodendrocytes or neural stem cells, each derived from microglia, microglial precursor cells or microglia-like cells are provided. A cytotherapeutic composition or a composition for reproduction transplantation treatment comprising the above cells and optionally a carrier is also provided. The method for isolating or making the above cells comprises culturing microglia, microglial precursor cells or microglia-like cells in a medium in the presence of albumin, α-fetoprotein or serum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
