ANTI-AGING/CLIMACTERIC SYMPTOM RELIEF BY USING GANODERMA LUCIDIUM SPORE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicine of a new form without using a fruit body of Ganoderma lucidum (the family Basidiomycetes, a bracket fungus) which is a precious Chinese medicine.

SOLUTION: This method for preventing/slowing the aging of human and reducing/relieving climacteric symptoms is provided by administering an effective amount of a germination-activated Ganoderma lucidum spores (GLSs) orally. The GLSs are effective as an antioxidant, and especially by elevating the amount of a reduced form glutathione (GSH) and the activity of super oxide dismutase (SOD) to, reduce the damage caused by free radicals. The GLSs also elevate testosterone level in blood and can improve geriatric depression in elderly male patients.
