<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording material which is of a magenta development type and shows high image density and superb image light fastness. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording material has a thermosensitive recording layer which contains a diazonium salt and a coupler formed on a support. The coupler contains a chemical compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SB>1</SB>is an (substituted) aryl, alkyl, alkoxy or amino group; R<SB>2</SB>is the alkyl group or the aryl group but R<SB>l</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>may be bonded together to form a ring; and R<SB>3</SB>is an amino group with which the alkoxy group, an aryloxy group or an amino group which may have a substituted alkyl group). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
