PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery in which whether a terminal position display of the battery is matched to a terminal position display of a container case or not can be easily checked when two types of the storage batteries having equal rated capacities, nominal voltages and sizes and positive/negative electrode terminal positions are set reversely at right and left sides are packaged in the case and to provide the container case. SOLUTION: The terminals of small sizes are covered with terminal caps by utilizing different outer peripheral sizes of positive/negative electrode terminals. When the battery is housed in the containing case, the presence or absence of the cap is confirmed from the opening of the case provided at a position corresponding to the terminal covered with the cap. Thus, whether the battery is contained correctly in the case or not is checked. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
