PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a communication data volume transmitted from an information center to an information terminal, and to shorten a communication time between the information center and the information terminal, by preparing no guide information about a simple rerouting route of low necessity for route guide and by preparing, in the information center, the guide information about only the rerouting route difficult to be understood of high necessity for the route guide, to be transmitted to the information terminal. SOLUTION: In this navigation system having the information center and the information terminal 100, the information center searches a recommended route based on a received start point and a destination, searches the rerouting route when off-routing in a specified intersection on the recommended route, and transmits the guide information about the rerouting route of high necessity for the route guide, to the information terminal 100.
