PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and reliable splicing device with a simple structure and its method. SOLUTION: The device 5 for splicing strips (8, 9) comprises a first drum 13 rotated around a first axis 13a and having a first outer surface 19 selectively holding and guiding a first strip 8 and a second drum 14 rotated around a second axis 14a and having a second outer surface 20 selectively holding and guiding a second strip 9. The first and second outer surfaces 19 and 20 form a gap allowing the strips 8 and 9 to be passed therethrough, and are formed such that the first and second strips 8 and 9, and a sticker 45 can be pressurized together as the function of the first and second drums 13 and 14 at specified angles.
