PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor line constructing method capable of easily designing a conveyor line, arranging and installing conveyor units, and forming action programs on the user side. SOLUTION: In a library 2 at an information terminal, a plurality of sorts of virtual conveyor modules 5 with attributes of action definitions and product information are formed. On a layout forming screen 4 in the information terminal, the virtual conveyor modules 5 are selected and arranged to form a virtual conveyor layout. Action definitions are set for the respective virtual conveyor modules 5 selected and arranged. Action information for the virtual conveyor layout 6 is formed. Product information for the virtual conveyor modules 5 is totalled. Thus, action programs for a real conveyor line can be prepared, and arrangement for purchase of real modules can be conducted even without engineering specialists. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
