PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure certain positioning of a guide mechanism and a cover at a raised position in the guide mechanism for a cover of a slide roof with a simple structure and the less number of parts. SOLUTION: The guide mechanism for the cover 10 of the slide roof has at least one slotted guide 16 connected to the cover. The guide 16 is adjusted so as to move between the raised position, an initial position and a lowered position. In order to lock the cover 10 against horizontal displacement at the raised position, an extension part 70 provided on the slotted guide 16 is engaged with a profiled rail 14 fixed to the vehicle by certain fitting.
