PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car washing machine capable of preventing deterioration of finishing of car wash, and preventing deterioration of a car wash ability. SOLUTION: When at least one of a front main body 1A and a rear main body 1B is traveled, the front main body 1A is adjacent to the rear main body 1B, and a distance between the front main body 1A and the rear main body 1B is narrowed to not more than a constant distanceα, an action of a nip detection sensor 40 detecting existence of an article or a human being between the front main body 1A and the rear main body 1B is recognized. When the nip detection sensor 40 detects the article or human being, traveling of the front main body 1A and the rear main body 1B is made to stop. Even when the action of the nip detection sensor 40 is recognized, the traveling action is not stopped according to the action and the distance of the front main body 1A and the rear main body 1B, so as to avoid suspension of a car wash action and prevent deterioration of a car wash ability.
