PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coater for coating the recording surface side of a print sheet printed by means of an inkjet printer with liquid or liquefied coating agent for enhancing weatherability in which the coating agent does not spill even if the coater inclines. SOLUTION: The liquid coater comprises a means for touching a recording medium to a roller applied with a coating agent, a means for applying the coating agent to the roller, a means for arbitrarily regulating the quantity of the coating agent being applied to the roller, a tray located vertically underside of the roller and the coating agent applying means and collecting/storing at least a part of excess coating agent when it is applied, and a means for rotating the coating agent collecting tray.
