PURPOSE: An piezoelectric oscillator having a reduced installation area, a portable telephone using the same, and an electronic device using the same are provided to miniaturize the total size by reducing the horizontal size. CONSTITUTION: The first package(60) includes an oscillator circuit(61). The second package(35) includes a piezoelectric resonator(32). The second package is connected to the first package. The first package further includes the first lead frame and the second lead frame. An end part of the first lead frame is bent to a direction apart from the second package. In addition, the end part is exposed to the outside and the exposed end part is used as the first connection terminal(51a,52a). An end part of the second lead frame is bent to a direction toward the second package. The end part of the second lead frame is exposed to the outside and the exposed end part is used as the second connection terminal(41a,42a). The first connection terminal and the second connection terminal overlap with each other.
