PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device of excellent operability without any interfering member around the hand and fingers when an operator holds a grip to operate. SOLUTION: This operating device is provided with a base; a first movable base 12 provided on the base movably in orthogonal biaxial directions within a horizontal plane; a second movable base 13 provided on the first movable base 12 movably in one vertical axial direction; a grip 14 gripped by a hand and provided rotatably around three axes, i.e., two orthogonal axes and one vertical axis to the second movable base 13; and detecting means for detecting the operating amount in the axial directions and rotating directions of three axes.
