PURPOSE: A suction nozzle for a vacuum cleaner is provided to use a body for cleaning a relatively wide floor and an auxiliary suction port for cleaning small places as cornered parts of stairs. CONSTITUTION: A suction nozzle for a vacuum cleaner is composed of a body(100) having a suction port(112) for sucking in air containing foreign materials; a connecting part(110) formed at the rear side of the body to guide the sucked-in air to the vacuum cleaner body; an auxiliary suction port(200) being smaller than the body and having the suction port for sucking in air containing foreign materials; and a connecting hose(220) for communicating the auxiliary suction port into the body. The auxiliary suction port is detachably formed to one side of the body. A connecting duct(130) is installed in the body and communicated with the connecting part. An opening unit(132) is formed to the front end of the connecting duct to guide the air, which is sucked into the body, into the connecting duct.
