<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium and the like provided with a plurality of test writing regions for performing test writing on the optical recording medium for a prescribed period or every prescribed operation, which is to be test writing regions other than an information recording region, the number of times of test writing to the test writing recording regions is equal to the number of times of guaranteed rewrite or below, in the optical recording medium wherein recording and reproduction is performed by irradiation of an optical beam. <P>SOLUTION: In a magneto-optical disk wherein information is recorded by using the optical beam a, a level of the part of a reproducing signal w corresponding to a repetition mark pattern y and a level of the part of a reproducing signal w corresponding to an isolation mark pattern x are detected from the magneto-optical disk and compared with each other to set a recording condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
