<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably shorten working time for exchanging unit cells in comparison with the conventional working time, and avoid adverse effects on other unit cells. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell stack provided with a unit cell 12 for grasping a battery cell, in which a solid polymer electrolyte film is grasped by an anode side electrode and a cathode side electrode, by a separator 13; flanges 23a, 23b laminating a plurality of the unit cells 12 and grasping them via current collecting plates 21a, 21b; conductive separation plates 15a to 15c arranged among unit cell assemblies 11a to 11d with the unit cells 12 laminated therein; and fixing bolts 24 and nuts 25 for fixing the unit cell assemblies 11a to 11d, the separation plates 15a to 15c, the current collecting plates 21a, 21b and the end flanges 23a, 23b. With a configuration of arranging conductive separation plates 15a to 15c among unit cell assemblies 11a to 11d with the unit cells 12 laminated therein, during the working of exchanging the unit cells 12, it is not necessary to conventionally disaggregate the whole of the unit cells 12, it is enough to check only the cell assemblies 11a to 11d including defective unit cells 12, then, the working time for exchanging the unit cells 12 can be remarkably shortened in comparison with the conventional working time, and adverse effects on other unit cells 12 can be almost avoided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
